                                                          Our Farming Practices
  • We are currently transitioning some acres of our farm to regenerative practices with partnership with one of our landowners.
  • We use cover crops, and no-till on certain fields to reduce erosion and increase water quality.
  •  We have tiled several fields to reduce runoff and provide oxygen for the microbes in the soil. Tile allows us to increase cover crops, decrease tillage, and increase soil health.
  • We soil test every 2 years to ensure that our fields are in the optimal balance for pH and fertilizers.
  •  We are working with cover crops to improve soil health.
  •  We rotational graze our pastures.
  •  We have implemented a plan to limit compaction by using controlled traffic.
  •  We continue to maintain and install grass waterways to reduce soil erosion.
  •  Nitrogen fertilizer is split applied with the planter and by side dressing during the growing season to reduce the potential for leaching.
  •   We utilize our own strip plots, university and private research, along with yield maps and soil tests to analyze each field and to implement a crop plan for each field that will be most economical for our landowners and our operation.
  • We purchase feeder cattle that we background on the farm.  In addition to a feedlot, we utilize pasture land during the summer.

Our farm also offers eggs for sale year round through our sister company, Yeoman Farms.   We also offer poultry, turkeys, pork and beef  for sale during certain seasons of the farm.  Please contact  us for more information, availability and pricing, or look at Yeoman Farm's Facebook page.
